Situation
Fraunhofer IZFP’s IUSE high-performance ultrasound system is an upgraded version of the UNIUS platform which has been specifically geared to industrial applications. This system features 16 multiplexed transmitter/receiver channels and a modular interface which enables the user to select the host interface (Ehternet, USB 3.0 or a proprietary, optical technology) depending on the respective application.
By default, IUSE provides already established algorithms for pre-aggregating measurement data at high cycle repetition rates. IUSE also enables position-dependent gain correction when operated in conjunction with a coordinates trigger unit.
Applications
IUSE is optimized for industrial use in automated inspection applications that require a high number of single channels and run at high inspection cycle repetition rates.
In comparison to the standard 19” chassis plug-in version, this sturdy frontend version additionally offers a PoE-compatible solution for near-sensor assembly. Due to the fact that it supports established software frameworks (C++, C#, LabView ), the integration toolkit facilitates the embedding of IUSE into customer-specific inspection systems.
